Initially, students had to submit a relevant form to the office to apply for a Leave of/Return from Absence.
However, the regulation has changed to remove the inconvenience, and from the upcoming semester, the international students can apply for the Leave of/Return from Absence on the KUPID as well.
In addition, for the successful issuance of a visa, the request of Leave of/Return from Absence is available at the moment for the International Students.
Thus, for the students who are planning to take a Leave of/Return from Absence, please apply for one from the KUPID.

1.How to apply
: KUPID(http://portal.korea.ac.kr) → Registration/Graduation → University Registration → Application for Leave of Absence/Return
2. Application Period
1) 6th July 2020 (Mon) 10:00 ~ 31st July 2020 (Fri) 16:00
2) 3rd August 2020 (Mon) ~ 25th August 2020 (Tue) 16:00
* International graduate students are available to apply during the designated period 1) and 2).
* All Korean/International students are available to apply during the period 2).
3. Please upload your passport when you apply for the return from absence.
: Upload a copy of your passport on the KUPID
* The process will not be possible without a copy of your passport.

본교 대학원 학적변동기간(2월 1일 ~ 2월 25일, 8월 1일 ~ 8월 25일)에 외국인학생은 학적변동(휴/복학) 신청서를 소속 학과행정실에 직접 제출하였으나, 번거로움을 개선하고자 2020학년도 2학기 학적변동기간(2020년 8월)부터 대학원 외국인학생이 포털(KUPID)에서 휴/복학 신청을 할 수 있도록 아래와 같이 개선됩니다.
또한 외국인학생의 경우 원활한 비자발급을 위해 학적변동 기간 전 2020년 7월부터 인터넷 휴/복학 신청이 가능합니다.

1. 대상 : 대학원 외국인학생
2. 신청 방법 : KUPID(http://portal.korea.ac.kr) → 학적/졸업 → 학적사항 →휴·복학 신청(대학원)
3. 신청 기간
1) 2020년 7월 6일(월) 10:00 ~ 7월 31일(금) 16:00
2) 학적변동 기간 : 2020년 8월 3일(월) ~ 8월 25일(화) 16:00
* 대학원 외국인학생은 1) ~2) 기간에 휴/복학 신청 가능
학적변동 기간에는 모든 학생(내국인, 외국인) 휴/복학 신청 가능함
4. 외국인 복학 신청시 ‘여권’ 제출
: 포털(KUPID) 복학 신청시 여권사본 업로드 제출
*증빙서류 없이 신청 불가
