GSIS UN Human Rights Committee Summer Field Research 2025 (~05/12)



1) Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at GSIS as an MA/Ph.D. student
  • Fluency in oral and written English is essential; Knowledge of another official UN language is an asset
  • Eligible and qualified to travel overseas


2) Program Details

  • Period: June 23 – June 27, 2025 (1 week, arrival June 22, departure June 28)
  • Location: Palais Wilson (Geneva, Switzerland)
  • Application Deadline: May 12, 2025
  • Responsibilities:
  • Assist in drafting and preparing various documents, including reports
  • Provide logistical and substantive support for the organization of events and meetings
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed
  • Participate in designated activities in person and on time
  • Uphold professional conduct and assure confidentiality
  • Organize own travel itinerary, accommodation, and other necessities


  • Grants up to KRW 3,000,000 and a certificate of participation will be provided on the condition of writing a field research report. Students are responsible for all other costs beyond the provided support. No further assistance will be given.


3) Recruitment Schedule

  • Application Period: April 28 – May 12, 2025

  2. Curriculum Vitae (C.V.)
  3. MA/Ph.D. GPA Transcript (First-semester MA students must submit their final undergraduate GPA transcript)


Files must adhere to the following naming pattern: Field Research 2025_YOUR NAME_document name (Application / CV / Transcript).


  1. Interview: May 22/23, 2025
  2. In-person interviews will be conducted with short-listed candidates 


  1. Results Announcement: May 27, 2025 
  2. Notifications will be sent via email, including information on preparation


Incomplete and late submissions will be disregarded. No exceptions will be made. Recruitment schedule subject to change.
