GSIS UN Human Rights Committee Summer Field Research 2025 (~05/12)
1) Requirements
- Currently enrolled at GSIS as an MA/Ph.D. student
- Fluency in oral and written English is essential; Knowledge of another official UN language is an asset
- Eligible and qualified to travel overseas
2) Program Details
- Period: June 23 – June 27, 2025 (1 week, arrival June 22, departure June 28)
- Location: Palais Wilson (Geneva, Switzerland)
- Application Deadline: May 12, 2025
- Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and preparing various documents, including reports
- Provide logistical and substantive support for the organization of events and meetings
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed
- Participate in designated activities in person and on time
- Uphold professional conduct and assure confidentiality
- Organize own travel itinerary, accommodation, and other necessities
- Grants up to KRW 3,000,000 and a certificate of participation will be provided on the condition of writing a field research report. Students are responsible for all other costs beyond the provided support. No further assistance will be given.
3) Recruitment Schedule
- Application Period: April 28 – May 12, 2025

- Completed and signed Application Form
- Curriculum Vitae (C.V.)
- MA/Ph.D. GPA Transcript (First-semester MA students must submit their final undergraduate GPA transcript)
Files must adhere to the following naming pattern: Field Research 2025_YOUR NAME_document name (Application / CV / Transcript).
- Interview: May 22/23, 2025
- In-person interviews will be conducted with short-listed candidates
- Results Announcement: May 27, 2025
- Notifications will be sent via email, including information on preparation
Incomplete and late submissions will be disregarded. No exceptions will be made. Recruitment schedule subject to change.
