It is pleased to announce that KUGSIS opens the K-MOOC course on Korea’s public diplomacy. K-MOOC is a Korean massive open online course (MOOC) established in 2015 to provide free courses to anyone, anywhere. In 2018, KUGSIS has participated in K-MOOC and provided the lecture on Korea’s public diplomacy which is renewed and relaunched on August 24, 2020.

Co-sponsored by the Korea Foundation, this course is designed to give a valuable learning experience on how Korea has been conducting its regional and functional diplomacy with a focus on its key issues and prospects. It further discusses the role of public diplomacy, which is one of the soft power's key instruments in diplomatic practice. For example, it explores how Korea can shape the preferences of other countries through appeal and attraction, determined by a country's politics, culture, and political values. 6 former ambassadors and high-level executives who were at the forefront of Korea's diplomacy have been invited as instructors for this course.
