Kobe CAMPUS Asia Program is pleased to announce a call for applications to our CAMPUS ASIA Short Term Program here at GSICS, Kobe University.


Theme: Risk Management and Disaster Prevention
Aim: Guest participants of this short term program will take the 8-day intensive class on Risk Management. The class offers the key approaches to the analysis and application of risk management and disaster prevention through studying various cases of natural
and man-made disasters. The class includes a fieldtrip to research institutes and offers opportunities to discuss Japan’s approach to disaster prevention with policy experts.


Benefits: Tuitions are free.
The stipend (50,000 JPY in total) are most likely provided by Kobe University※1.
Free access to Kobe University Library
Permission to attend some GSICS classes as an observer


※1 The stipend arrangement will be confirmed on April 14.


Program Dates: June 25-July 2, 2020 (travel dates are not included)


Applicant Qualifications:
-Chinese/Korean citizens.
-Fudan U SIRPA/Korea U GSIS graduate students who can participate in this short term program without possibility of cancelation once admitted.
-Applicants need to submit the copy of his/her latest transcript and must have a grade point average (GPA) of more than 3.0 out of 4.00 in total.
- After completing this program at Kobe University, applicant must return to home institution and continue his/her studies with the aim of receiving a degree from his/her home institution.
-After completing the program, applicant must submit a questionnaire/report that demonstrates the results gained from participating in the program
-Applicants who are not receiving any other scholarships/subsidies from other organizations as the financial support to participate in this program.


Application Procedure:
- Submit the application sheet (free style) including the following information: name, gender, nationality, email address, student status (master/doctor), major, purpose of the application, and research interest.
- Submit the application to CAMPUS Asia team at Fudan/Korea University by April 13th.


- CAMPUS Asia team at Fudan/Korea will collect all applications and send them all together to Kobe CAMPUS Asia team by e-mail.


- Kobe University CAMPUS Asia team will select qualified applicants and announce the result by April 14th.
