Jean Monnet EU Centre of Excellence at Korea University was established in the Global Research Institute at Korea University with financial support from the EU Commission. The Centre, Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and SBS cofounded and ran KU-KIEP-SBS Centre from January 2014 to August 2019. The Centre had successfully completed the Jean Monnet Network Project NEAR and SPEAC (2016.9-2019.8) as the coordinating organization of five Asian states. Thanks to its stellar activities, the Centre was designated as the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence from September 2019 to August 2022. Now, it is recognized as the leading EU-related research and education institution in Korea.
In September 2022, Jean Monnet EU Centre of Excellence at Korea University relaunched with the objective of 'Enhancing Sustainable Development Partnership between the EU and Korea.' While further developing academic and educational activities, the Centre plans to get closer to the public with various events such as the 'Green Film Festival' and 'EU Journalist roundtable.'
We look forward to the attention and support of those interested in the future activities of Jean Monnet EU Centre of Excellence at Korea University.
