Mandatory COVID-19 PCR Negative Test Result Requirement

for All Foreigners Entering South Korea

Effective from 8 January, all foreign nationals flying into the country from all locations will be required to take a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test no more than 72 hours prior to their departure

It will also apply to those who enter the country through ports from 15 January.

South Korean citizens flying into the country from the UK or South Africa will also be required to take a PCR test.

All entrants will need to provide negative test results when they arrive at the airport or the port.

The measure is implemented to block the recently reported Covid 19 variants, and another test that is already in place will be carried out after the entry.

Please refer to the attachment for FAQs on Submitting Negative COVID-19 PCR Test Certificate.

Please contact the Korea Embassy of each country for any kind of inquiries.

Thank you.
