** All submissions, payments, and applications must be completed within the designated period.
No late submissions will be accepted under any circumstances.

1. Application for Examination of Degree Dissertations
1) Application Period: Monday, April 20, 2026 – Thursday, April 23, 2026, 17:00
2) Application Method: Both online and offline applications must be completed
2. Evaluation Fee Payment
1) Payment Period: Monday, April 20, 2026 – Thursday, April 23, 2026, 17:00
2) Amount
- Master’s: KRW 100,000 (current students), KRW 140,000 (completed students)
- Doctoral: KRW 400,000 (current students), KRW 450,000 (completed students)
- Designated Bank Account: KEB HANA BANK 391-904468-08737 KOREA UNIVERSITY
3. Thesis/Dissertation Draft Submission
1) Submission Period: Monday, April 20, 2026 – Thursday, April 23, 2026, 17:00
2) Submission Method:
- Master’s: Submit three copies of the thesis draft
- Doctoral: Submit five copies of the dissertation draft
→ Must be submitted in person to the Evaluation Committee (Do not submit to the GSIS Administration Office)
4. Degree Dissertation Tuition Payment
1) Bill Printing and Payment Period: Wednesday, May 6, 2026 – Friday, May 8, 2026, 16:00
2) Amount: 12% of tuition
- 5% for students who have already paid the completed research registration fee
3) The tuition is not required for currently enrolled students, and only completed students must pay
4) Tuition Bill Printing Link: TBA
<Thesis/Dissertation Defense>
1. Defense Period: Thursday, May 28, 2026 – Friday, May 29, 2026
2. Defense Method: Either online or offline
3. Detailed Defense Schedule: To be posted on the GSIS website on Monday, May 18, 2026
4. Notes
- Students must consult with their thesis advisor in advance regarding the defense schedule and format
- Doctoral students are required to conduct the defense twice

- Electronic file of the thesis/dissertation

3. Submission of Evaluation Result Documents
1) Submission Period: Monday, July 6, 2026 – Friday, July 17, 2026, 17:00
2) Place of Submission: KU GSIS Administration Office (Room 223, International Studies Hall) (in-person submission only)
