Since 2011, the CAMPUS Asia Program at KU GSIS has produced highly talented graduates who are actively working in the field of international development. Commemorating its 15th Anniversary, KU GSIS is pleased to organize CAMPUS Asia Day: Global Career Development Forum & Alumni Networking Event to help current students navigate their careers in the global arena. This event highlights a Keynote Lecture by Vice Dean and Professor Keiichi Ogawa (Kobe University GSICS: Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies) and CAMPUS Asia Alumni Lectures by CAMPUS Asia graduates working with diverse international organizations (UN IOM, UNEP, UNICEF, World Bank), an INGO and KOICA, preceded by congratulatory remarks by Dean and Professor Dr. Seungho Lee (Korea University GSIS).
Keynote Lecture
Vice Dean and Professor Keiichi Ogawa from Kobe University (GSICS), whose full biography is available at the end of this announcement, is a former Education Economist at the World Bank and a former Governing Board Member of the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP). With field experience across more than 30 countries and over 150 publications, Professor Ogawa brings unparalleled expertise to his lecture, "Global Career Development: Focused on International Organizations," in which he will explore the essential competencies and strategic pathways for building a successful career in the global arena.
CAMPUS Asia Alumni Lectures
CAMPUS Asia graduates who are invited to share their experiences have extensive experience in working in the field of international development, including at the UN IOM, UNEP, UNICEF, World Bank, KOICA and INGO (Good Neighbors). Please come and enjoy this excellent opportunity to learn about their experiences, their job search strategies and the skills are needed to work in the field of international development.

CAMPUS Asia 프로그램 15주년을 기념하여, 국제경력개발 포럼 및 졸업생과의 만남을 개최합니다. 고려대학교 국제대학원 이승호 원장님의 축사와 함께 시작될 이번 행사에서는 고베대학교 국제협력연구과 부원장 오가와 케이이치 교수의 기조강연과 더불어, UN IOM, UNEP, UNICEF, 세계은행 등 다양한 국제기구와 INGO, 그리고 KOICA에서 활동 중인 CAMPUS Asia 졸업생들의 강연이 진행될 예정입니다.
오가와 케이이치 교수는 교육경제학 및 국제교육개발 분야의 권위자로, 세계은행 교육경제학자와 UNESCO 국제교육계획연구소(IIEP) 이사를 역임하였습니다. 현재는 고베대학교 글로벌 교육정책·계획 연구센터(GEPP) 센터장을 맡고 있으며, 30개국 이상의 현장 경험과 150편 이상의 연구 성과를 보유하고 있습니다. 이번 특강 「국제기구를 중심으로 본 글로벌 커리어 개발」에서 오가와 교수는 글로벌 무대에서 성공적인 커리어를 쌓기 위한 핵심 역량과 전략적 경로를 제시합니다.
UN IOM, UNEP, 세계은행, KOICA, INGO(굿네이버스) 등 다양한 국제개발 현장에서 활동 중인 졸업생들도 함께하여, 실제 경험담과 취업 전략, 현장에서 요구되는 역량을 공유할 예정입니다.

*Full biography of Vice Dean and Professor Keiichi Ogawa
Dr. Keiichi Ogawa is Professor and Vice Dean in the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies (GSICS) & Council Member of Education and Research at Kobe University in Japan. He is also Director of the Global Research Center for Education Policy and Planning (GEPP) and UNESCO Chair of Education for Gender, Disaster Resilience, and Well-being at Kobe University. Dr. Ogawa is a former Education Economist at the World Bank and a former Governing Board Member of the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP). He is also an Honorary Professor at Kyrgyz National University, the National University of Laos, and the University of Dhaka. He has served in various graduate schools as an Affiliate, Adjunct, or Visiting Professor, including Columbia University’s Teachers College, George Washington University, the University of Hawaii, and the University of Tokyo. His research interests lie in the economics of education, education finance, comparative international education, and public policy in the education sector. He has worked on development assistance activities in over 30 countries and has authored or co-edited twelve books and over 150 journal articles/book chapters. Many are issues related to educational development and cooperation in international settings. He holds a Ph.D. in Comparative International Education and Economics of Education from Columbia University. In his lecture titled “Global Career Development: Focused on International Organizations,” Professor Ogawa will discuss the essential competencies and strategic pathways required to build a successful career in the global arena.
